Share Certificates (also known as Certificates of Deposit or CDs) feature ULFCU’s highest savings rates. You choose from a variety of terms based on how long you wish to commit the funds. The longer the term, the higher the dividend rate.

  • No monthly service fee, but early withdrawal fees apply

  • Minimum opening deposit of $500.00

  • Minimum balance to earn dividends is $500.00

  • Terms from 6 months to 5 years

APY=Annual Percentage Yield. Dividends compounded and credited monthly. Penalties may apply for early withdrawals from certificate accounts. Offering rates may change, please contact a member service representative for complete details. Funds automatically roll over into a new certificate account with the same term upon maturity unless you notify the credit union of other instructions.

A Coverdell Education Savings Account (CESA) provides a dedicated place to grow savings

  • Deposit up to $2,000 per year for each child under 18

  • Withdraw money without an IRS penalty as long as it is used for higher education

  • Qualified withdrawals are tax-free since deposits are made after taxes

  • Money must be withdrawn by the time the child reaches age 30 (late withdrawal penalty may apply)

  • Savings and Savings Certificate options available

  • Minimum of $25 to open a Coverdell Education Savings Account

  • Minimum of $500 to open a Coverdell Education Savings Certificate Account with a term from 6 months to 5 years
